Karapiro Rowing Board Vacancies

Rowing Waikato are searching for people to nominate to be elected for Board positions with Karapiro Rowing inc. This year sees two retirements, Murray Twining and Dave McCowan. Murray, recently honoured as Rowing New Zealand Administrator of the Year has completed the maximum term of nine years allowable for Board members, but may be re-elected for a further maximum of nine years after a one year stand down under the new KRI constitution. Dave McCowan has decided not to seek re-election at the conclusion of his first three year term, as he has some other interests that he wishes to persue.

At the last meeting of the Waikato Rowing Association, it was decided that the association should be proactive in seeking prospective nominees to fill these positions. The Board of KRI is very much a working board that requires Board members to complete various activities and tasks between board meetings.

Any one interested in seeking nomination by the Waikato Rowing Association should contact the Secretary of the association in the first instance.
