Rowing New Zealand Awards Dinner

After the Annual Meeting was adjoured, it recommenced at the Annual Dinner held in the Kelvin Hotel. After dinner Rowing New Zealand presented a number of Awards. NZRA Service Jackets were awarded to Tom Reid from the Whakatane Rowing Club, John Howard (most remembered as the Golden Voice of Lake Karapiro) and to Dianne Campbell.

The Administrator of the Year was awarded to Murray Twining (nominated by Rowing Waikato)from Karapiro Rowing inc. as recognition of the outstanding service he has given over the last regatta season.

The Club of the Year was awarded to the Rotorua Rowing Club Inc.

Rowing New Zealand has this year awarded Life Membership to two very deserving members who have devoted a life time of work to the association. The new Life Members are Mrs Lesley Milne and Mr John Wiley
